Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Ottawa County’s preliminary unemployment rates for April 2023 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County’s April unemployment rate dropped to 2.3% from March’s rate of 3.4%—the lowest for Ottawa County since December 2019.
This rate is the fifth lowest in Michigan for April, with unemployment rates ranging from 1.5% in Livingston County to 13.4% in Mackinac County.
Of Michigan’s 83 counties, 82 saw their unemployment rates decrease from March to April.
