(Lansing, MI) – The state of Michigan will have nearly 900-million fewer dollars to work with as lawmakers work on the next state budget. The revenue estimating conference Friday revealed the drop due to tax cuts, and economists add there will be one-point-eight-billion dollars less next fiscal year than was forecasted in January. Treasurer Rachel Eubanks says the state’s economy “continues to perform really well” and adds the revenue loss is due to intentional changes to policy.
She says revenue will grow in the coming years.
