Grand Haven, MI – (WGHN) Board of Light and Power Trustee Andrea Hendrick announces her run for Mayor in the City of Grand Haven.
Residents in the City of Grand Haven have until 4 p.m. on April 25, 2023 to file nominating petitions for several positions within the City of Grand Haven and for a Trustee position with the Grand Haven Board of Light and Power.
Qualifications for Office are as follows:
Candidate must be:
(1) Over twenty-one (21) years of age;
(2) A registered elector of the City; and
(3) A resident of the City or of territory annexed to the City, or both, for at least six months immediately preceding his or her election or appointment, if a person be appointed to fill a vacancy in an elective office.
Terms of Office are as follows:
Mayor – Two Years, November 2025
Councilmember – Four Years, November 2027
Board of Light & Power Trustee – Six Years, November 2029
Petitions and other required forms must be obtained from the Grand Haven City Clerk’s Office, 519 Washington Avenue, Grand Haven, Michigan.
