(Grand Rapids, MI) — Grand Rapids and several other west Michigan communities held “Good Trouble Lives On” protests yesterday against the Trump administration. The demonstrations were inspired by late civil rights leader and Georgia Congressman John Lewis, who died July 17, 2020 and aim to “challenge injustice and create meaningful change.” They were held in Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Holland, Muskegon Heights, Hastings, Saugatuck, Three Rivers, Paw Paw, and other communities. according to WOOD TV 8.
Sam Tunningley of the Grand Rapids Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression says the demonstrators have different focuses and ideologies, but all have a shared opposition to President Trump’s policies.
