Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – A 21-year-old Grand Haven man has been charged following a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

The crash occurred June 4 at the intersection of Comstock Street and 168th Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

The Grand Haven Tribune reports that the man was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on Comstock Street when he ran a red light at 168th Avenue and collided head-on with a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by a 47-year-old Grand Haven man.

The motorcyclist sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
