(Washington, DC) – The Trump administration is planning to raise prices for foreign tourists visiting national parks. The Interior Department announced Tuesday it would increase the price of annual park passes for nonresidents to 250-dollars starting next year. Meanwhile, U.S. residents will have to pay 80-dollars for an annual pass. International visitors to the nation’s eleven most popular national parks will also be charged an extra 100-dollars in addition to the standard entrance fee if they don’t have an annual pass.
The change is part of an effort by the Interior Department to modernize national park access.
