OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle rollover crash after both drivers swerved to avoid a collision Tuesday just after 7:00 a.m. in Jamestown Twp. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said a 2001 GMC Sierra was headed north when the driver swerved to avoid a deer, briefly crossing into the southbound lane before returning to the northbound side. A 2005 Volvo station wagon, driven by a 25-year-old woman and carrying an 18-year-old male passenger, swerved in reaction and entered the northbound lane.
Both vehicles collided in the northbound lane, overturning onto their sides. The Volvo’s driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
