Grand Haven’s Jumpin’ Java to close

By Mary Ellen Murphy Sep 17, 2025 | 6:35 AM

Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Jumpin Java in Grand Haven is closing. In a Facebook post post they say their last day is September 30th and that an announcement about the space on Washington will be made today, September 17.

Reads the statement below:

Dear Friends of Jumpin’ Java,

After more than two decades of coffee, conversation, and community, we’re writing with bittersweet news: Jumpin’ Java will be closing its doors on September 30th.
But this isn’t goodbye—it’s a heartfelt thank you.
Thank you for the early mornings and the late chats. For the laughter, the loyalty, and the love you’ve poured into this space. You’ve made Jumpin’ Java more than a coffee shop—you’ve made it a home. A place that has been home for just shy of 9 years for me. These years have been unpredictable, exciting, happy, hard, joy filled, and I wouldn’t change anything.
We’re closing this chapter with full hearts and a sense of joy, because the future of this space is something truly exciting. While we can’t spill the beans just yet, we’ll be sharing what’s next tomorrow—and trust us, it’s worth celebrating.
We will continue to share more information and memories with you over the next couple weeks. We encourage you to stop in over the next 2 weeks, sip something special, and help us toast to the memories we’ve made together. We’re proud of what we’ve built, and even more proud to have shared it with you.
With gratitude and joy,
The Jumpin’ Java Team
