(Lansing, MI) – Hundreds of people gathered on the lawn of the Michigan Capitol yesterday for a remembrance rally for conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, who was killed last week in Utah. Organized by the Michigan Republican Party, three state representatives addressed the crowd along with three college students. They included Alex Bitzan of Michigan State University’s Turning Point USA chapter, who said people will remember where they were when they learned of Kirk’s death like people remember where they were when the 9-11 attacks happened.
He added he has seen an increase in violent threats and social media posts celebrating the death.
