GRAND HAVEN, MI (WGHN) – A new Casey’s gas station is set to open on Robbins Road after city planners approved the $3 million project.
The Grand Haven Planning Commission voted Sept. 9 to allow the station at 1102 Robbins Road, the former site of a Comerica Bank. Demolition is expected to begin in early 2026, with the business potentially opening by the end of that year, according to City Planner Brian Urquhart.
The station will include six pumps, a convenience store with food offerings, and 24-hour, seven-day service. Casey’s, known for its pizza delivery and pickup, says the project will create 10 to 12 full-time jobs. The one-acre site is located in a busy commercial corridor near D&W Fresh Market, Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, Walgreens, and Goodwill.
Developers are also requesting variances to install a tall pole-mounted sign instead of a ground sign and to reduce the number of windows required by zoning. The Zoning Board of Appeals will consider those requests at a future meeting.
