John has been in broadcasting for over 25 years. He got his start in Grand Rapids radio, however his love for the airwaves began as a junior in high school back when East Kentwood had it's own radio station. John even tried his hand at stand-up comedy, but admits it was harder than he ever thought. These days you can find John on a local bike path, fishing for bluegill, or watching The Walking Dead and wondering when Carl is going to get a haircut. John is a self-proclaimed Christmas nerd and can quote every line in It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story. Yes, he is apparently proud of that. Catch John having fun every weekday morning on 92.1 WGHN-FM from 6 to 10.

Walt is a Whitehall native who during his first term at college was tapped on the shoulder after a freshman English class and invited to tour the student run radio station. On that autumn day the radio bug bit, and it bit HARD. After graduating, Walt put his automotive career on hold to take the microphone professionally. Over those years he worked at five Michigan radio stations before hanging up his headphones.
Walt then took his Mechanical Engineering degree to Detroit, beginning his tenure as an Automotive Engineer. The blue oval treated him very well but after 16 years of service with Ford he resigned to faithfully follow a calling, a nudge that brought him back home to West Michigan.
Walt was hired as News Director in August of 2007 and the rest as they say is history. Amen.
Sherry Wilson is a radio veteran of more than 13 years. She began her West Michigan career at WMUS as a DJ, later working at WKBZ as the public service director and evening DJ. She left radio for a number of years, returning to work at WGHN in January of 2014 as the Afternoon News person, a job she is enjoying very much! In her spare time, Sherry loves working with dogs, teaching and playing with her two shelties, Kipper and Joey. An avid history buff, Sherry is also researching a homesteader county in South Dakota, at the turn of the last century.
Jeff has always taken an interest in radio and sports. At a young age of 8, he would fall asleep listening to Ernie Harwell describe a Detroit Tigers game, or Ken Kal vocally illustrate the Detroit Red Wings action. While in high school Jeff decided to pick up a guitar, inspiring music to quickly become more influential than just a hobby. His new found love and passion led to playing in bands touring everywhere east of the Mississippi from quant intimate churches to extravagant packed arenas.
After graduating from Mona Shores High School in 2003, Jeff attended Grand Valley State University. With the intent of turning his passion for music and radio into a career, he studied broadcasting, with an emphasis on audio production. Jeff has been with WGHN since the fall of 2008 producing and engineering high school sports. In 2012, Jeff became Executive Producer of Sports on WGHN. He also has two sons, six year old Parker and seven year old Preston, who can often be found shadowing him around the studios. You can tune into WGHN to hear Jeff on Saturdays from 7am until noon.
Ryan Fox loves being on the radio. Not a day goes by that he does not consider himself blessed to have grown up in and around the
radio business. His family once owned stations, and he has worked in radio since age 11. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with
his lovely wife Amber and his is new baby boy Luke. You'll also find him taking in new movies, and watching college football. Ryan
enjoys attending church, spending time with family and friends, and wrestling with his fun-loving beagle-terrier, Max. He's a big fan of

DAKOTA loves America, golden retrievers, and Little Debbie Snack Cakes. Not to mention Country Music! Having grown up in a tiny
Oregon lakeside town, she knows what it’s like to go nuts, living out in The Sticks. She also appreciates that, out of all musicians,
country artists make an effort to look attractive. Yep, she’s that shallow.
Dakota has no cake-eating dwarves at home (kids), nor a spousal unit; but she does have a young orchid named Cleo, currently in full bloom. When she’s not on the air, Dakota moonlights as a Countdown Specialist: handling numbers 16 through 10. She plays Texas Hold ‘Em in her spare time, but is so bad at it that she gets taco sauce all over the cards; and loses so much, she has to pay people in turquoise jewelry.
BRIAN DOUGLAS can be found doing just about everything he can outdoors. He also enjoys coaching his son’s tee-ball team and
teaching him how to fish. He likes to get his heart going by running a mile or two every day—it’s his morning coffee! Brian has traveled
extensively as well but after visiting over thirty countries his favorite place to go is still Vegas. He believes that machine will hit soon!
He lives with his wife and six year-old son, Jack.
JENNY D, a Colorado native, with a degree in journalism from Colorado State University, believes that every moment in life has a
soundtrack that you get to pick out for yourself. Live through music, live through a dream, or live through life, let each day be
monumental. Some of her fondest memories are rocking out to the radio in the back of her mom’s vintage, metallic green Ford
mustang, which is where her love for music began. She has a knack for making people laugh, a true gift for sarcasm, and keep up with her, because she likes to keep it real on the radio. So, relax, because when you spend some time with her, hopefully you get that laid back, warm and fuzzy feeling, like the end of a good John Hughes movie. Let’s face it, at the end of the day, we should all believe in happy endings.
